The Beginning

My career in sales and marketing began as the Commercial Classified Sales Manager with a local community newspaper. It was my job to help businesses find their customers through their local newspaper. As businesses started moving away from print advertising, I transitioned to be the Small Business Membership Coordinator with the Greater Akron Chamber. It was here I discovered the power of networking and social media. I also learned how to harness the power of events to effectively market organizations and achieve marketing goals while providing an experience for customers. 

I followed my love of helping small business to the Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Director. But my love of sales and marketing brought me to be the Director of Marketing and Business Development with Simon Property Group, the world’s largest real estate developer. 

The part of each position I loved best was helping small businesses grow and thrive. GlitterGirl Media was born out of my affinity for helping small business owners find new, creative and cost effective ways to market their products and/or services to their target audiences. 

I have been awarded the Distinguished Marketing & Sales Award by SMEI Akron, the Circle of Champions Lifetime Achievement Award by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), the Social Media Impact Award from Smart Business Network and The Women of the Community Award by The Medina County Women’s Journal.
